John Tobias was instrumental in supporting our son as he embarked on his journey to recovery. Equally important, John supported both of us in our work to better understand the disease of addiction and how it affected our son and our family.

In the winter of 2018, we knew it was time for structured assistance for our 21-year-old son. We worked with a placement therapist to determine the “right program”. I remember him telling us how important it was to align my son with the “right therapist”, not just the program.

After many meetings with not only my wife and I, but also with my son, who was not on board in any way, he informed us he knew the “perfect” guy… John Tobias (JT). We took him at his word and that was the best decision we made in an effort to get our son back!

John was very helpful from the onset, regarding expectations at each stage of his journey. Putting us at ease while he slowly and methodically chiseled away at the walls my son had built around him. He developed a strong relationship, built on trust, honesty, and a true caring nature that we could see and hear with each letter and phone call. JT not only coached us on supporting my son through this trying time, but also how to be a better father, mother, husband, wife, and family!

Through JT’s effort and commitment my son is doing much better. His journey is not complete and as JT continues to remind us, it will be a day by day effort by all. JT was and is a blessing sent from above at our greatest time of need as a family! He became part of our family and without any hesitation, I highly recommend him and his program to those hoping, praying, and searching for the right way to help those you care most about.
